A BIT ABOUT US
Kate Moetaua dedicated her life to teaching her students. She influenced the lives of so many young people, opening their eyes to the world of performance and helping them to gain confidence on and off the stage. Kate Moetaua inspired so many people and one of her final wishes was for a foundation that supported young talented people in the sporting, cultural, education and arts arenas in Whakatipu.

OUR JOURNEY
Since 2018 the Kate Moetaua Foundation has had the simple goal of keeping mums legacy alive by supporting Whakatipu children with the existing talent to achieve their full potential and to follow their dreams. During the early stages of setting up this foundation, community support has been the core reason we are able to raise funds for the deserving student we award scholarships. Behind the scenes, our family and Wakatipu community foundation members work hard to ensure we are continually making an impact on these recipients' lives. Mum dedicated most of her life to teaching and giving back to students regardless of whether she taught them. This is the energy we try to embrace during all foundation processes. This year will be the fifth round of scholarships. We are incredibly proud and grateful to continually support the youth in our community.
